AI and Data Science Manager - Group Audit (Temporary, 12 Months)

About the role

Zurich Group Audit is looking for an AI and Data Science Manager to work 80-100% of the time, on a temporary basis of 12 months, in Zurich. The role helps the international audit community build practical data and AI capability, unlock new insights and strengthen how risk is identified and responded to. The position is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and upskill internal auditors through practical one-to-one training, helping them apply data analytics and AI safely, efficiently and with a clear focus on value.
• Partner with local audit teams and regional Centres of Excellence to identify, prioritise and access useful data sources, and embed analytics into audit planning and delivery.
• Use knowledge of insurance, data and emerging technology to support risk assessment, audit planning and the identification of key risks.
• Develop new learning approaches, techniques and AI-enabled workflows that expand what is possible for the audit function and encourage responsible experimentation.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships across regions and contribute to a culture of quality, ethics, collaboration and continuous learning.

Required profile

• At least two years of experience using data to create measurable value, with exposure to data engineering, visualisation, text analytics, process mining, AI or generative AI.
• A good understanding of property and casualty and/or life insurance, with the ability to connect data insights to business and risk considerations.
• A relevant bachelor's or master's degree, or comparable professional qualification, in data, AI or a related discipline.
• Strong relationship-management and influencing skills, a genuine enthusiasm for helping others learn, and fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with analytics and automation tools such as Excel/Power Query, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Dataiku, KNIME, Microsoft Fabric, Alteryx, Databricks or Microsoft Copilot/Agents.
