Credit Advisor – Client‑Facing Credit Solutions

About the role

Join HSBC Switzerland as a Credit Advisor and work closely with Relationship Managers to design, market and execute credit solutions for private‑banking clients. You will play a key part in identifying new opportunities, underwriting facilities and managing an existing credit portfolio while ensuring strict compliance with risk and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with relationship teams to provide professional credit advice and support.
• Prepare and submit complete credit applications and supporting documentation.
• Advise on structuring and marketing appropriate credit solutions aligned with client needs.
• Underwrite and execute credit proposals, including loans and derivative structures, delivering robust analysis and due diligence.
• Monitor portfolio risk, assess exposures, trends and key risk indicators, and adjust structures or ratings as required.
• Maintain strong customer service and support business development for new and existing clients.
• Ensure adherence to HSBC Group controls, regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
• Drive portfolio quality and loss prevention by staying current on legal, regulatory and industry developments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in private‑banking credit or Lombard lending.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, products, services and associated risks.
• Experience monitoring complex private‑bank credit transactions beyond traditional Lombard lending.
• Solid exposure to derivatives and complex over‑the‑counter (OTC) transactions.
• Risk‑focused mindset with the ability to work independently under pressure.
