Head of Enterprise Platforms

About the role

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, which is preparing for its acquisition by SoftBank Group. Reporting to the Business Transformation Manager, you will provide business leadership for ABB Robotics' strategic enterprise platforms, driving platform strategy, implementation, adoption and value realization in partnership with IS and business leaders. A primary focus is leading the business side of the SAP S/4HANA transformation, ensuring technology decisions follow business objectives and process standardization. The position is based in Europe, with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Own the enterprise platform strategy: define the business vision, roadmap and governance for strategic platforms in line with ABB Robotics' strategy and target operating model.
• Lead business ownership of ERP/S/4HANA and other strategic platforms, integrating business requirements, processes, data and operating model implications before technology solutions are defined.
• Drive standardization and simplification, challenging unnecessary customization, legacy requirements and process complexity.
• Align stakeholders across Business Lines, Functions, Process Excellence, Data and IS teams on enterprise-wide decisions.
• Ensure business adoption and value realization, leading readiness, change adoption and the productivity, efficiency and scalability benefits of platform transformations.
• Manage platform dependencies and scalability across roadmaps, the transformation portfolio, non-organic growth initiatives and existing requirements.
• Lead and develop the Platforms team and work with implementation partners and transformation teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or a related discipline.
• Significant experience leading enterprise platform, ERP or business transformation initiatives in complex global organizations.
• Proven track record of large-scale, business-led ERP transformations; SAP S/4HANA experience is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial, financial and business acumen, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and influence senior executives without direct authority.
