Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Ansible / AWX) – DevOps

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to drive scalable automation and DevOps practices across our client base. The role is fully remote and focuses on managing lifecycle automation with Ansible and AWX, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and scripting repetitive tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and AWX, ensuring repeatable and scalable processes.
• Build, optimise and integrate CI/CD pipelines with existing automation solutions.
• Develop Bash and Python scripts to automate recurring tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Document environments, configurations and procedures before changes.
• Support Linux and Windows systems, databases and networking components for both internal and customer projects.
• Identify and implement improvements to configurations, workflows and technical standards.
• Train and onboard new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Participate in a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in infrastructure automation.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and an independent, structured work approach.
• Excellent ownership, reliability and commitment to delivering tasks from planning to completion.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; German is a plus.
