Legal Counsel

About the role

Our client, a leading medical device company, is expanding its legal team and seeks a proactive Legal Counsel. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders across the organisation to deliver practical, solution‑oriented legal advice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support to the Swiss headquarters and its international affiliates.
• Advise on commercial, corporate, regulatory, intellectual‑property, data‑privacy, competition and unfair‑competition matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Identify and assess legal risks linked to business activities, transactions and partnerships, proposing pragmatic solutions.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, HR, IT, Supply Chain, R&D and Finance to embed legal considerations early.
• Conduct legal research and fact‑finding to support strategic decisions.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external counsel in Switzerland and abroad.
• Contribute to compliance initiatives and risk‑mitigation strategies across the organisation.

Required profile

• Swiss law degree and Swiss Bar qualification (Brevet d'Avocat) – mandatory.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel or attorney, preferably in an international environment.
• Background in medical devices, life sciences, industrial or other highly regulated sectors.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to deliver clear, practical legal guidance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and French.
