Platform Manager – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

About the role

The Platform Manager, PLM leads the Product Lifecycle Management technology platform for DePuy Synthes, supporting R&D across multiple global locations. This hybrid role ensures the platform is stable, secure, and aligned with regulatory and digital transformation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end PLM platform operations, guaranteeing compliance, security, and performance.
• Define and execute the PLM strategy and roadmap in partnership with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
• Lead platform enhancements, system integrations, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships, service delivery and budget for PLM technologies.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing technology team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 6‑8 years of progressive experience supporting R&D or product development with PLM platforms.
• Strong understanding of regulated product development, design controls, change management and data traceability.
• Proven leadership experience, including people management and vendor/budget oversight.

Required skills

• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform ownership, configuration, integration and upgrade.
• Integration knowledge of PLM with ERP, QMS and CAD systems.
• Experience with cloud‑based PLM architectures and enterprise data governance.
• Technical communication and collaboration in a global, cross‑functional environment.
