Railway Technical Project Manager – Rolling Stock

About the role

agap2 is seeking an experienced Railway Technical Project Manager to lead rolling‑stock projects from concept through delivery and validation. You will act as the technical bridge between clients, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring projects meet rail industry standards and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee technical projects across the entire lifecycle, from concept to validation.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, production, quality and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with rail industry standards, safety regulations and customer specifications.
• Serve as the technical interface with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and resources to guarantee efficient execution.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation, status reports and presentations for management and customers.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to secure project success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven track record in technical project management within the rail or transportation sector.
• Strong understanding of complex technical systems and integration processes.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Structured, solution‑oriented, proactive working style with strong leadership qualities.
