Software Systems Engineer - Web Security

About the role

We are looking for a Software Systems Engineer specialized in Web Security to design, develop and operate web security services that protect organisations across more than 180 countries. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, systems engineering, networking and cybersecurity, and offers end‑to‑end ownership from architecture to production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core software components for globally deployed web security services.
• Enhance monitoring, troubleshooting and observability of the services using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues in both development and production environments.
• Collaborate with networking, security, cloud and platform engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Hands‑on experience with Linux/UNIX systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go or C++.
• Problem‑solving mindset and fluency in English.
