Strategic Financial Controller

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking a highly motivated Strategic Financial Controller to turn financial data into actionable insights and drive profitability for its private banking business in Western Markets & Switzerland. You will join the Regional CFO team and report to the Head of Regional Financial Planning, Reporting & Analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management reporting and performance steering, enhance existing reporting tools and design new products to support revenue and cost management frameworks.
• Conduct quantitative analyses, business case assessments and prepare senior‑management presentations.
• Build and maintain complex quantitative models that translate data into actionable insights.
• Act as a sparring partner to front‑office finance topics, interfacing with senior management and key stakeholders.
• Support regional financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Drive strategic finance initiatives that enable the region to meet its financial objectives.
• Develop automation tools for more flexible and timely data usage.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Econometrics or a comparable quantitative field with above‑average grades.
• 4‑5 years of experience in a finance or controller role within banking, financial services or a related industry.
• Strong interest in private banking and global financial markets.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on quantitative modelling.
• Advanced Excel and data‑handling expertise.
