Tax Manager

About the role

FIFA, the governing body of football, is looking for a Tax Manager in its Zurich finance team. The role covers core tax compliance and reporting, tournament tax operations, group tax strategy and tax planning, and works closely with external tax advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare FIFA's annual Swiss tax calculation and review the Swiss tax return prepared by external advisors
• Oversee and review international tax compliance obligations and support the withholding tax documentation process
• Lead Country-by-Country (CbCr) reporting and support tax filings, responses to tax authority inquiries and tax audits
• Maintain the Group tax compliance calendar and support the Internal Audit function in assessing tax risks
• Assess tax obligations for international tournaments and events, support tax implementation in host jurisdictions and develop tax calculation tools
• Support transfer pricing compliance and intercompany matters
• Analyse new tax legislation, support group effective tax rate calculations and tax forecasts, and implement tax optimisation opportunities

Required profile

• 6-8 years of experience in corporate taxation, international tax or tax advisory roles
• Experience overseeing international tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and working with external tax advisors
• University degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related field
• Fluent English; French, Spanish or German is an asset

Required skills

• Transfer pricing, CbCr reporting and international tax frameworks (highly desirable)
• Tax reporting, compliance and financial reporting systems
• Data analysis and modelling
• Professional tax qualification strongly preferred (Swiss Tax Expert, CTA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
