Visual Merchandising Designer

About the role

Tissot, a member of the Swatch Group and a luxury watchmaker founded in 1853, is recruiting a Visual Merchandising Designer for its International Store Design and Visual Merchandising Department. You will create, develop and implement in-store displays and decoration that attract customers' attention and deliver an excellent brand experience worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement product displays, brand decoration and temporary store activations in line with the brand image and strategy
• Create 3D proposals and technical drawings
• Supervise sampling and production, and coordinate and supervise installation
• Oversee and coordinate projects with internal and external stakeholders
• Give creative and technical guidance to external teams and professionals on Tissot merchandising and design
• Provide visual guidelines for local executions and approve local proposals
• Propose innovations to improve merchandising tools and brand image at point-of-sale
• Monitor and respect agreed costs and schedule

Required profile

• 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Education in visual merchandising, industrial design or similar
• Portfolio of retail design projects
• Experience designing shop displays, window displays and space utilization that respect brand image
• Experience working with production suppliers and solid knowledge of materials and production techniques
• Good coordination, communication and organizational skills; autonomous and proactive, able to handle several projects with tight deadlines
• Interest in retail design and visual merchandising, following competition and industry trends
• Basic understanding of international organization and distribution
• French and English, with excellent oral and written knowledge

• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• 3D modelling and rendering software (ideally Rhinoceros 3D and VRay)
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
