CISO / Head of IT Security (Hybrid)

About the role

Ikerian AG, a fast‑growing medical‑device software company, is looking for a CISO / Head of IT Security to define and drive its security strategy. You will protect critical digital assets, ensure compliance with strict healthcare regulations, and support a distributed, global workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a company‑wide information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, guaranteeing scalability, reliability and security.
• Lead compliance initiatives for ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA and GDPR.
• Manage risk assessments, vulnerability testing and incident‑response processes.
• Supervise procurement and management of hardware and software for remote employees.
• Promote a security‑aware culture through training and policy development.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior security or IT leadership role, preferably in healthcare or finance.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field; certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Cloud security architecture (AWS).
• ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA and GDPR compliance.
• Risk assessment, vulnerability testing and incident‑response expertise.
