CMMS Replacement Planning Consultant (Remote, Switzerland)

About the role

This fully remote consulting engagement focuses on guiding organisations through the replacement and modernisation of their Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms. You will work with cross‑functional stakeholders to assess current environments, define future‑state strategies and deliver actionable road‑maps that support executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑wide assessments of existing CMMS/EAM landscapes, documenting processes, workflows, integrations and data structures.
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops and executive presentations to capture business, technical and strategic requirements.
• Perform gap analyses and design future‑state business processes, functional specifications, technical architecture and implementation priorities.
• Evaluate leading CMMS/EAM platforms and provide strategic recommendations for modernisation, procurement and long‑term road‑maps.
• Develop governance frameworks, migration readiness plans, data‑remediation approaches and integration recommendations.
• Produce executive‑level reports, business cases, implementation road‑maps and readiness assessments.
• Support project governance through documentation, risk management, issue tracking and status reporting.

Required profile

• 10+ years of consulting experience delivering complex enterprise, technology or digital transformation projects.
• Proven expertise in current‑state assessments, future‑state planning and strategic roadmap development.
• Strong background in CMMS/EAM modernisation or replacement initiatives.
• Experience with IBM Maximo, Maximo Application Suite or comparable maintenance and asset management solutions.
• Solid understanding of facilities maintenance and asset management processes.
