Cognitive Search Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cognitive Search Engineer to design and develop AI‑powered search solutions. The role is fully remote and based in Switzerland, allowing you to collaborate with international multidisciplinary teams. You will help create intelligent search experiences that improve information access for users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement cognitive search solutions using NLP and machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to build search applications and intelligent bots.
• Analyze search performance, identify improvement opportunities, and optimize relevance, ranking, and retrieval quality.
• Integrate cognitive search solutions with existing systems, data structures, and processes.
• Build and maintain data pipelines that support indexing, retrieval, and information discovery.
• Apply best practices for development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cognitive search platforms.
• Stay up‑to‑date with trends in cognitive search, AI, and machine learning to continuously enhance solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience developing cognitive search or related AI‑driven technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a structured approach to technical challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in an international, remote team environment.
