Desktop Support Technician – Level 2 (IT)

About the role

The Desktop Support Technician plays a vital role in enabling employees to work efficiently by providing reliable technology and responsive assistance. You will be the primary IT point of contact for a local office, handling hardware and software issues, deploying equipment, and ensuring a smooth technology environment for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues autonomously (Level 2 support).
• Configure, deploy and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices on‑site and remotely.
• Manage inventory of IT equipment and software licenses and ensure accurate records.
• Provide end‑user training, onboarding, and IT inductions for new starters.
• Use Jira Service Management to log, track and resolve tickets within SLA targets.
• Deliver AV support for meeting rooms and assist with network connectivity problems.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in desktop or end‑user support.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS and iOS operating systems.
• Excellent English proficiency (C1‑C2 level).
