Finance Manager - Group Reporting, VAT and General Ledger

About the role

Coperion, a business unit of Hillenbrand, is looking for a Finance Manager responsible for group reporting in OneStream, VAT, all general ledger journal entries for Coperion K-Tron Switzerland and other small entities, fixed assets, bank accounts, project controlling and SOX controls. The role also covers financial master data management in close cooperation with the head of finance, aiming for financially and ethically sound results.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare and support internal and external audits (SOX, EY, tax audits)
• Produce timely, accurate monthly reports under US GAAP and statutory reporting for Coperion K-Tron Switzerland and subsidiaries in EMEA and the US, in OneStream and Forecasts
• File tax declarations, including VAT in CH, DE, UK and FR, with support from external specialists
• Support AR and AP specialists locally and at the shared service center; handle intercompany recharges, commissions and matching
• Manage cash collection, accounts receivable bad debt reserve, accounts payable payments and cash forecast
• Reconcile goods received not yet invoiced
• Maintain project accounting and project controlling, including capitalization, gross margin and variance analysis
• Review material cost variances, inventory and revenue cut-off, and update product cost calculations
• Map, maintain the chart of accounts, cost centers and business units, and reconcile and supervise the shared service center
• Provide quick support for ad-hoc requests from Group Finance, local management and project management
• Act as super user of the leasing tool and reconcile payroll between HR and the ERP system

Required profile

• Several years of experience in international accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or Accounting Education (eidg. Fachausweis)
• Good written and spoken English and German
• Big 4 audit experience is a plus

• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize diverse projects
• Ability to identify root causes and improve processes, and to work with virtual shared service teams
