Full-Stack Web Engineer

About the role

CERN is seeking a full‑stack software developer with DevOps experience to join the Web, DevOps and Authoring section of the IT‑PW group. You will work on the .CERN top‑level domain infrastructure, supporting and improving its hosting services.

Key responsibilities

• Support and further integrate the handling of the .CERN top‑level domain, including certificate procurement and automation of renewal.
• Implement new features for CERN Web infrastructure services, such as the Web Services Portal and information retrieval from .CERN sites.

Required profile

• Full‑stack development experience with version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills, and a proactive mindset.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, JavaScript, React.
• Web technologies: HTTP, certificates, Web protocols.
• Version control: Git.
• CI/CD and automation tools.
• Linux and Bash scripting.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, OpenShift/OKD (plus).
• Familiarity with Web Content Management Systems (Drupal, WordPress) is an asset.
