Grant and Knowledge Management Specialist (P-3)

About the role

The Grant and Knowledge Management Specialist supports the External Relations Unit of UNFPA’s Humanitarian Response Division in Geneva. Reporting to the Head of the External Relations Unit, the role works closely with HRD work streams, regional and field offices to ensure effective grant reporting and knowledge management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate grant reporting and documentation across HRD and field offices.
• Manage knowledge‑management processes, including capture, storage and dissemination of lessons learned.
• Support external‑relations activities such as communications, partnership building and resource mobilization.
• Contribute to policy and programme integration within the humanitarian response framework.
• Liaise with UN agencies, donors and partners to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in grant management and knowledge management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of UN humanitarian coordination mechanisms (e.g., IASC, Grand Bargain, Sendai Framework).
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across regions and field locations.
• Commitment to UNFPA values, ethical standards and results‑oriented delivery.
