Head of Finance – Banking

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead a small, hands‑on team within a well‑established, FINMA‑regulated private bank in Geneva. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive position combines finance, operations, treasury and risk oversight, offering broad visibility and autonomy in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting, treasury and back‑office activities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and manage operational, financial and compliance risks, including asset‑management and investment‑related matters.
• Review monthly financial statements and guarantee timely legal and FINMA reporting.
• Implement, improve and adapt internal procedures and controls, following up on audit recommendations.
• Support HR‑related processes such as payroll, social security and insurance administration.
• Participate in internal committees and coordinate ad‑hoc projects requested by senior management.
• Prepare Board documentation and reporting in close coordination with the CEO.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance, treasury, risk and operations within a banking environment.
• Proven leadership of small finance teams and ability to work hands‑on.
• Strong understanding of FINMA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interact directly with C‑suite executives and senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Geneva.
