Head of Goodwill Ambassador & Celebrity Engagement

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a senior leader to head its Goodwill Ambassador and Celebrity Engagement function. Reporting to the Director General through the Private Sector Partnerships Division, the role will shape and drive IOM’s engagement with high‑profile ambassadors and celebrities to support migration‑related objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage goodwill ambassador and celebrity engagement programmes that amplify IOM’s mission.
• Build and nurture strategic partnerships with private‑sector entities, NGOs and media partners.
• Represent IOM at high‑visibility events, ensuring consistent messaging on migration issues.
• Collaborate with internal divisions to align engagement activities with IOM’s strategic priorities.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of ambassador and celebrity initiatives, reporting outcomes to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in managing ambassador, celebrity or high‑profile stakeholder engagement programmes.
• Strong understanding of migration challenges and the UN system.
• Excellent communication and public‑relations skills, with ability to work across cultures.
• Leadership capability to inspire teams and coordinate multi‑stakeholder projects.
