IP Paralegal – Trademark Management

About the role

As an IP Paralegal at Nestlé, you will support Senior Legal Counsels in managing trademark portfolios for a newly integrated Strategic Business Unit. You will ensure robust portfolio management, streamline processes, and collaborate closely with internal business and legal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trademark availability searches, analyse results and provide clear recommendations.
• Manage trademark and industrial design registration processes from filing to grant, aligned with business rollout plans.
• Handle objections from IP authorities, defensive oppositions, and negotiate related agreements.
• Monitor competitive trademark publications, support oppositions, and draft reports on moderately complex legal matters.
• Maintain accurate internal records, docket deadlines and track portfolio milestones.
• Support legal research, evidence gathering and litigation activities by organising sales figures and marketing materials.

Required profile

• Solid experience in trademark work within an international environment or law firm.
• Proficiency with online IP databases and web‑based IP management systems.
• Excellent planning, organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, flexible and able to work autonomously.
• Fluent written and spoken English; spoken French is a plus.
