IT Systems & Security Engineer

About the role

Medimaps Group is seeking a hands‑on IT Systems & Security Engineer to manage and secure its corporate IT environment. You will work across cloud, on‑premise infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity, reporting to the IT Engineer & Systems Administration Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, update and upgrade servers, virtual machines, network equipment and workstations.
• Operate and maintain Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS resources, including networking, monitoring, backup and tagging.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune and conditional access.
• Manage on‑premise virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi/vCenter, Proxmox VE).
• Maintain network infrastructure: firewalls, VLANs, routing, VPN, DNS, DHCP, reverse proxies, TLS certificates and Wi‑Fi.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux systems, storage (SAN/NAS) and database hosting.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and shell scripts, ensuring version control and documentation.
• Run day‑to‑day security operations: monitoring, SIEM, vulnerability management, patching, hardening, endpoint protection and privileged access management.
• Respond to security incidents, perform containment and investigation.

Required profile

• Strong infrastructure background with a security‑first mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously, solve problems and produce clear documentation.
• Experience in a small, collaborative IT team.
