Observability Cloud Architect (AWS)

About the role

As part of Capgemini’s Financial Services team, you will advise clients on their cloud transformation and observability journey while contributing to the design and implementation of modern monitoring and telemetry platforms. The Observability Cloud Architect will define observability strategies, design target architectures, and enable end‑to‑end visibility across cloud and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define observability strategies, architecture principles, standards, and governance models aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Design and validate target observability architectures across cloud and hybrid environments, leveraging industry‑leading monitoring, logging, metrics, and tracing solutions.
• Establish scalable telemetry frameworks and integration patterns to collect, correlate, and analyse operational and application data.
• Define instrumentation standards, monitoring best practices, and operating models to improve reliability, performance, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, and business stakeholders to address architectural challenges and support cloud transformation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and knowledge transfer to delivery teams and client stakeholders throughout engagements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of IT experience, including significant work in Observability Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering or Solution Architecture.
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud environments and observability platforms; experience with Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, LGTM Stack or equivalent technologies.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, telemetry pipelines and operational analytics in complex enterprise settings.
• Experience designing and implementing observability solutions across hybrid, cloud‑native and on‑premises infrastructures.
• Solid knowledge of cloud security, scalability, resilience, automation and DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD integration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills; experience in regulated financial services is a strong asset.
