Operational Tax Officer

About the role

The Tax Operations Department in Geneva is looking for an Operational Tax Officer to support private clients with comprehensive tax reporting. You will ensure the bank’s compliance with global tax regulations such as FATCA/QI, CRS, and Swiss and EU tax rules while maintaining strong relationships with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily production of French, UK and Spanish tax statements for private clients.
• Perform quality controls on financial data, corporate actions and other tax‑related processes.
• Test new features and conduct non‑regression testing on tax reporting tools.
• Update and maintain procedures and documentation related to tax operations.
• Analyse inconsistent tax treatments, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate proactively with Front Office on complex tax queries and important changes.
• Collaborate with operational and IT teams to ensure correct tax treatment of transactions and drive continuous process improvement.
• Support the rollout of new products and services, adapting tax tools as needed.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, audit or a related operational tax reporting role.
• Proven experience producing and quality‑controlling tax statements or other financial reports.
• Strong understanding of financial products and their tax implications.
• Methodical, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Fluent in French and English; Spanish is a plus.
• Resident of Switzerland.

• Comfortable working with AI and data‑analysis tools.
