Senior Backend Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a globally distributed engineering team focused on advanced digital finance and blockchain-powered solutions. You will design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power financial platforms used worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for financial platforms.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical architectures.
• Improve existing Node.js services for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Implement new backend solutions and integrations using RPC calls within microservice architectures.
• Write and optimise complex queries for operational, financial, and compliance processes.
• Drive platform scalability initiatives to ensure real‑time responsiveness under growing demand.
• Apply strong security principles to protect infrastructure, transactions, and user data.
• Participate in Agile processes, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in JavaScript and Node.js backend development.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience building large‑scale platforms or applications.
• Solid knowledge of relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Strong understanding of backend security, secure API development, and infrastructure protection.
• Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies and frameworks.
