Senior Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a fast‑paced, remote‑first team building cloud‑native platforms for enterprise‑grade applications. You will design, develop and operate high‑performance backend services, solve complex distributed‑system challenges and help shape the architecture of innovative products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud‑native backend services using Golang within a microservices architecture.
• Develop and operate distributed systems on Kubernetes across AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
• Lead the architecture, design and implementation of new product features from concept to production.
• Apply computer‑science fundamentals to address scalability, networking, concurrency and performance problems.
• Build secure integrations with enterprise identity and authentication systems such as Okta and other SSO/IdP platforms.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and infrastructure teams to define technical solutions and deliver high‑quality software.
• Contribute across the technology stack where backend services interact with infrastructure components.
• Promote best practices in system reliability, observability and maintainability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing and maintaining highly scalable backend systems and cloud‑based microservices.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, operating systems, networking and concurrent programming.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes environments on AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience building enterprise‑grade applications with authentication and identity management solutions (e.g., Okta, SSO/IdP).
• Proven ability to lead technical projects, influence architectural decisions and deliver production‑ready systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast‑growing environment.
