Senior Financial Controller – Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join a leading asset management firm in Geneva. The role will drive budgeting, reporting, and performance monitoring across the group’s private‑equity and broader investment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual budget and long‑term plan aligned with the Group’s strategy and monitor performance against plan.
• Produce monthly management accounts, analyse variances versus prior year and budget, and track key performance indicators.
• Monitor private‑equity fees and assets under management, build forecasts, rolling budgets and a three‑year plan in close collaboration with fund controllers and product heads.
• Develop reporting tools with the operating platform to provide client, performance and AUM insights.
• Lead the monthly group financial close, consolidate financial statements and deliver high‑quality reports on schedule.
• Maintain accurate consolidated financial records for Swiss entities and support global portfolio evaluation with management and operations teams.
• Update departmental policies and procedures to improve data quality, consistency and availability.
• Enhance IT tools and reports for the controlling function and participate in the implementation of a new accounting system.
• Co‑create dashboards, reports and analyses for senior management together with the IT Finance manager.
• Improve the timeliness and quality of information delivered to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics or a related field.
• At least 10 years of controlling/MIS experience in financial services, preferably in alternative asset management or private equity.
• Management experience in an international environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify trends and exceptions quickly.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
