Senior Fullstack Software Engineer

About the role

Valora digital, the tech unit of Valora, is looking for a senior full‑stack software engineer to help shape the future of its shopping experience. You will work on modern web‑based e‑commerce solutions, from customer‑facing self‑checkout devices to back‑office tools and internal mobile apps.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code and conduct code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by customers and internal stakeholders.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and guidelines.
• Design and implement visually appealing and user‑friendly interfaces.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
• Help shape the future of our shopping experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Ability to own tasks end‑to‑end, from frontend to PostgreSQL data models.
• Comfortable working autonomously while staying connected with the team.
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and frequent, zero‑downtime deployments.
• Experience with modern cloud environments and willingness to use AI tools where appropriate.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.
