Supply Chain Planning Consultant

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Consultant to help global clients transform their planning processes using cutting‑edge technology. You will work on real‑world projects across Zurich, Basel and client sites, developing deep expertise in sales‑operations planning, demand forecasting and advanced planning systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional and conceptual knowledge of supply chain planning, from S&OP to demand forecasting.
• Design and implement tech‑enabled solutions that improve client planning, production and delivery.
• Support clients in building robust processes, governance and capability frameworks.
• Conduct Advanced Planning System (APS) assessments, selections and implementations.
• Advise organisations on capacity planning, product launch strategies and materials management.
• Prepare reports, proposals and documentation for client engagements.
• Collaborate in small, agile teams and contribute to business development ideas.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Production Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with supply chain planning disciplines such as Integrated Business Planning, inventory optimisation, network design and production scheduling.
• Knowledge of materials management, product launch planning and cut‑over management.
• Independent, proactive and able to take ownership of project work.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to work in an international environment.
• Fluent English; additional French or German is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Planning Systems (APS) exposure (as end‑user, implementation consultant or product specialist).
