Director – Regulatory & Compliance for Financial Services

About the role

Grant Thornton Advisory is seeking a Director to lead regulatory and compliance consulting for Swiss and international financial institutions. You will work from our Geneva office, advising banks, asset managers and other financial service providers on a wide range of market regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on Swiss financial market regulations such as the Banking Act, FINIA, FINSA, AMLA, CISA, ESG and FINMA licensing.
• Analyse and resolve complex legal issues, considering both Swiss legislation and international influences.
• Act as engagement leader, delivering risk and compliance consulting and outsourcing services to clients.
• Strengthen existing client relationships, actively acquire new business and represent the firm in the market.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary projects and support internal strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Law; admission to the bar or further legal education is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in regulatory/compliance roles within Switzerland, preferably in a Big 4 or comparable environment.
• Strong customer and team orientation with a high level of commitment.
• Fluent in French and English.
