GSS Transformation Lead

About the role

The GSS Transformation Lead will head the Transformation Office, steering strategic change across Finance, HR, IT, Logistics and Administrative Services. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that transformation initiatives align with the ICRC’s humanitarian mission and improve efficiency, agility and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the transformation roadmap for Shared Services, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
• Coordinate cross‑functional transformation projects, standardising processes and eliminating duplication across service lines.
• Partner with Technology & Innovation to accelerate digital and non‑digital initiatives, including workflow automation and analytics.
• Monitor technology trends, regulatory developments and humanitarian best practices, recommending relevant innovations.
• Advise service line leaders on transformation strategies and represent GSS in enterprise‑wide programmes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading large‑scale transformation programmes in complex organisations.
• Strong understanding of shared services, finance, HR, procurement, logistics and ICT environments.
• Ability to work in a humanitarian context and align change initiatives with mission‑driven objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
