Housekeeping Trainee – Guest Room & Public Area Support

About the role

Join the Housekeeping Team at Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich as a Housekeeping Trainee. You will support daily guest‑room cleaning, public‑area upkeep and logistical operations while learning the standards of a luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with guest‑room cleaning, ensuring hygiene, quality, correct setup and amenities placement.
• Support housekeeping logistics across AM/PM shifts, including storage organization, inventory handling and replenishment of guest supplies and special items such as pillows, duvets and kits.
• Help with laundry and linen operations, including guest laundry handling, basic garment care/ironing and linen processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas in line with hotel standards.
• Support uniform room operations: distribution, tracking, organization and care of staff uniforms.
• Assist supervisory duties by conducting room inspections, coordinating rework, responding to guest requests or complaints professionally, and aiding daily task allocation and shift organization.

Required profile

• Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school.
• Flexibility to work under pressure, including weekend and holiday shifts.
• Good communication skills, teamwork, reliability and a high level of commitment.
• Very good English; additional language skills are a plus.
