Legal Counsel – Employment & Labour Law

About the role

We are strengthening Nestlé’s Legal Department with a Legal Counsel specialised in Employment & Labour Law. Based in Vevey, you will join the Employment & Labour Law Competence Centre and act as a trusted advisor to the HR community, delivering high‑quality legal guidance and pragmatic solutions for Swiss and global matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational legal advice on HR‑related matters in Switzerland, including group policies, projects and pre‑litigation issues.
• Support negotiation and drafting of HR contracts and agreements.
• Manage compliance and litigation cases, represent Nestlé before external counsel, courts and authorities.
• Oversee internal investigations, handle complaints and ensure proper dispute resolution.
• Advise and educate HR, Legal and business stakeholders on Swiss employment law developments.
• Maintain and update core HR and Legal & Compliance documentation, processes and policies.
• Monitor legislative changes and implement necessary adaptations.
• Assist the Head of Legal Employment & Labour Law with global HR projects, expatriate matters and external counsel management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law with a focus on Employment & Labour Law.
• Bar admission is a plus; specialist qualification in Swiss Labour Law (FSA) highly valued.
• Extensive experience in Swiss employment and labour law, preferably in a multinational environment or law firm serving corporate clients.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal issues, negotiations and litigation.
