About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Legal Officer to join its General and Administrative Law Division. The role provides legal advice to senior management, regional and country offices, and supports the organization’s compliance with its legal framework.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on misconduct cases and manage disciplinary processes, including the imposition of disciplinary and non‑disciplinary measures.
- Review the legality of contested decisions in formal Requests for Review submitted by staff members.
- Represent IOM in internal justice processes, such as the Joint Appeals Review Board and ILO Administrative Tribunal.
- Support the Department of Legal Affairs in ensuring that IOM activities comply with the IOM Constitution, staff regulations, financial regulations, and applicable international law.
