Shore Excursions Product Development Manager

About the role

The Shore Excursions Product Development Manager drives the creation and optimisation of shore‑excursion offerings for MSC Cruises, ensuring a compelling portfolio that meets market demand and enhances guest satisfaction across assigned regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative shore‑excursion products and manage a portfolio of 1,000+ tours.
• Source, procure and negotiate contracts with up to 100 tour operators, overseeing large‑scale bids and cost optimisation.
• Monitor market trends, guest preferences and risk factors to shape action plans and continuous improvement.
• Analyse guest feedback and satisfaction scores to refine products and services.
• Collaborate with Legal, Insurance and Operations teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct regular site inspections in destination markets.
• Represent MSC Cruises at government meetings, industry events and travel conventions.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of experience in global shore‑excursion operations, including product development and bid management.
• Preferably 10 years within the cruise industry’s Shore Excursions Department.
• Bachelor’s degree in tourism or related field; multiple language proficiency is a plus.
• EU passport or legal right to work in Switzerland.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Required skills

• IT‑savvy with experience using Fidelio.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.
