Travelling Destination Manager

About the role

The Travelling Destination Manager leads the Destination Experiences operation across Explora Journeys' cruise fleet. You will support onboard teams, enhance guest experiences, and ensure alignment with commercial goals, operational standards, and the company’s strategic vision.

Key responsibilities

• Drive performance, consistency and growth of Destination Experiences across all ships.
• Coach and develop multicultural onboard teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Identify improvement opportunities, implement best practices and oversee execution of Destination Experiences initiatives.
• Conduct regular ship visits, audits and performance reviews to foster continuous improvement.
• Align operational activities with commercial objectives, revenue targets and guest satisfaction metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in cruise operations, shore excursions, hospitality, tourism or revenue management.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse performance and spot growth opportunities.
• Proven experience in training, coaching and developing multicultural teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with operational KPIs, guest satisfaction metrics and revenue targets.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the fleet; valid passport required.
