Summer Contract: English Teacher & Activity Leader for Language Camp

About the role

Join ALPADIA Language Schools for a summer contract in Leysin, Switzerland, where you will teach English to teenagers and lead a variety of camp activities. This full‑time, seasonal position combines classroom instruction with sports, cultural events, and excursions, providing a dynamic, immersive experience for students aged 13‑17.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver English lessons in the target language across 4‑5 periods per day, following the provided syllabus.
• Prepare engaging, level‑appropriate lessons and supervise weekly student projects.
• Lead afternoon sports, creative workshops, themed evenings, and organized excursions.
• Ensure student safety and well‑being at all times, including during wake‑up, bedtime, and attendance checks.
• Participate in pedagogical meetings and write individualized end‑of‑stay comments for each student.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 20 years.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring teenagers (13‑17) and leading group activities.
• Experience in holiday camps or relevant certifications (e.g., BAFA, Youth & Sports) is an asset.
• Preferred qualifications include CELTA, TEFL, TESOL or equivalent.
• Native or near‑native English (C2) and a good level of French are appreciated.

Required skills

• Ability to use a video projector and connect a personal computer via HDMI.
