Visiting Faculty Researcher – AI Personalization

About the role

Google is seeking a Visiting Faculty Researcher to advance AI personalization technologies. You will bridge academic research and industry, exploring large‑scale projects that impact billions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and develop novel models that learn continuously from user interactions.
• Design solutions that adapt to new users with minimal data and can be efficiently deployed on personal devices.
• Collaborate with university partners to create project proposals, define expected outcomes, and publish research findings.
• Deploy machine‑learning algorithms in real‑world Google products and evaluate their performance.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Track record of publishing papers at top‑tier conferences (e.g., CHI, UIST, NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR).
• Experience deploying machine‑learning algorithms to production environments.
• Preferred experience with deep neural networks, generative AI solutions, and prompt engineering.
