Accountant – AI Training & QA Contractor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Subject Matter Expert to work remotely on an hourly contractor basis. You will review AI‑generated accounting responses, create high‑quality accounting content, and provide detailed feedback to improve AI performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content, including prompts, gold‑standard journal entries, explanations, close checklists, reconciliation logic and scenario analyses.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses for accuracy, clarity, completeness and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Test AI outputs for errors, misleading guidance, unsafe assumptions and bias, ensuring reliability across business scenarios.
• Fact‑check technical accounting claims and write model solutions that demonstrate correct methods.
• Provide precise written feedback and rate multiple responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA/ACCA/CMA a strong plus.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience (public accounting, industry, shared services or advisory).
• Deep knowledge of revenue/expense recognition, accruals, prepaid/deferred items, fixed assets, inventory, payroll basics and tax concepts.
• Proven ability to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close deliverables with auditability.
• Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and internal‑control concepts.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency with excellent written communication.
• Self‑directed, reliable and able to deliver consistent quality in a remote, hourly workflow.
