Business Development – Emerging Markets (Region)

About the role

As a member of the Emerging Markets Business Development team at Julius Baer, you will partner closely with the Region Head, Market Heads and key internal stakeholders to drive performance and strategic growth across the region. The role combines deep analytical work with business insight, turning large, complex data sets into actionable recommendations for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Own and enhance the region’s business analytics and reporting framework, ensuring data quality, consistency and transparency.
• Support forecasting and business planning through quantitative analysis and scenario modelling.
• Analyse complex business data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and performance drivers across markets and client segments.
• Consolidate and interpret large datasets from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
• Lead, coordinate and support strategic and business development initiatives across the region.
• Respond to ad‑hoc analytical requests from senior management with clear, data‑driven recommendations.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education and professional background, preferably in finance or wealth management.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in wealth‑management solutions and product knowledge.
• Project‑management skills and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience building and maintaining data queries.
