Electrical Engineer - Hardware Design

About the role

agap2 is seeking an Electrical Engineer specialized in hardware design to join its international development teams. You will work on the creation and validation of analog, digital, signal and power electronic circuits for energy and utilities projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical specifications, product concepts and solution ideas within cross‑functional teams.
• Design and prototype analog, digital, signal and power electronic circuits.
• Perform simulations, worst‑case analyses and FMEAs to optimise circuit performance.
• Evaluate, select and qualify electronic components against product requirements.
• Conduct electrical, thermal and EMC measurements on prototypes and pre‑series units.
• Prepare verification and test documentation, and coordinate qualification activities with internal and external labs.
• Create manufacturing documentation and test specifications to support series production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics and experience bringing products to series production.
• Practical and theoretical understanding of power electronics, control and regulation technologies.
• Experience with circuit development, simulation, testing and validation.
• Familiarity with EMC, thermal and electrical testing processes.
• Fluent in English and German, with the ability to work in an international environment.
