About the role

Lonio is building an AI‑native back‑office outsourcing service for Swiss finance and HR. As a Founding Engineer you will join the founders at the earliest stage, helping shape the product, architecture, and engineering culture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement features that automate complex compliance workflows.
• Explore how AI changes software development and integrate AI‑powered components.
• Collaborate directly with senior founders on both product and AI engineering challenges.
• Conduct research‑oriented tasks to push the boundaries of automation.
• Help define the overall product roadmap, system architecture, and engineering best practices.

• Passionate about AI’s impact on software engineering.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and a rapid learning mindset.
• Ownership‑driven, comfortable solving difficult problems.
• Outcome‑focused rather than title‑focused.
• Motivated to build one of the first Swiss AI‑native service companies.
