IoT Data Simulation Internship

About the role

You will join Nexxiot’s engineering team to create a realistic simulation of its IoT telematics ecosystem. The project aims to model the full lifecycle of a container shipment, reproducing both device behavior and the data they generate.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a data simulator for gateway and sensor devices.
• Model real‑world logistics routes and connectivity conditions (e.g., signal loss in tunnels, ports, remote areas).
• Generate synthetic but realistic telemetry streams for GPS, temperature, loading state, door events, etc.
• Package and deploy the simulation using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure alignment with actual device specifications.

Required profile

• Current studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid programming skills, preferably with Kotlin.
• Analytical mindset and a hands‑on attitude.
