Sales Manager – Groups & Catering

About the role

The Sales Manager is responsible for proactive prospecting and managing commercial opportunities related to groups and catering events within a defined region. The role focuses on developing each opportunity to maximise revenue and ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new group and catering opportunities to meet individual and regional revenue targets.
• Analyse market conditions, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and economic trends to adapt sales approach.
• Close optimal deals for regional establishments based on market conditions and client needs.
• Follow daily sales procedures to optimise room revenue and occupancy rates.
• Gain in‑depth knowledge of each regional establishment, its target clientele and service standards.
• Respond to inbound group and catering inquiries not handled by the Event Booking Center.
• Negotiate contracts and use creative selling techniques to secure business.
• Collaborate efficiently with commercial resources and administrative/support teams.

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma (high school or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer service, hotel reception or a related field.
• Alternatively, a Bac+2 (or equivalent) degree in business administration, marketing, hotel management or a similar specialty; no professional experience required for this qualification.
