Vice President Human Resources

About the role

As Vice President Human Resources you will report directly to the Board Member Human Resources & Legal and lead the global HR organization across Germany, EMEA, the Americas and APAC. This highly visible position focuses on operational excellence, internationalization and positioning HR as a strategic business enabler for HARTING’s growth and transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the operational leadership and performance of the global HR organization.
• Develop and scale the global HR Business Partner model to increase impact and proximity to the business.
• Ensure standardized, efficient and high‑quality HR services and processes across all regions.
• Steer regional HR structures, defining responsibilities, interfaces and governance.
• Drive HR transformation initiatives, including AI usage, digitalisation, process harmonisation and scalability.
• Lead collaboration with global HR Centres of Excellence and regional teams.
• Advise top management on labour law, employee relations and HR matters in an international context.
• Plan, steer and control HR budgets, resources and priorities.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, law, social sciences or a comparable field, preferably with an HR focus.
• Several years of senior HR leadership experience in internationally active organisations, ideally in an industrial or technology‑driven environment.
• Strong background in operational HR management, HR transformation and international HR governance.
• Proven ability to manage complex HR organisations and lead change across regions.
• Solid knowledge of labour law, employee relations and co‑determination in an international context.
• Very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
