Senior Associate – Capital Market

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our capital markets team in Zurich. The role involves providing comprehensive legal advice to national and international clients on all aspects of capital market law, including issuances, M&A, regulation, corporate governance, securitisation and asset finance.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new clients and manage existing relationships in the field of capital market law.
• Provide legal advice on share, bond and structured product issuances, M&A transactions and capital market regulation.
• Draft, negotiate and review complex contracts, legal opinions and transaction documentation.
• Assist clients in complying with national and international regulations such as MiFID II and MAR.
• Communicate with regulatory authorities and represent clients before courts and arbitration tribunals.
• Manage and coordinate legal aspects of capital market projects, including due diligence and structuring of complex transactions.
• Participate in the development of new products and services and represent the firm at industry events.
• Collaborate actively within an international team and leverage AI tools to enhance legal work.

Required profile

• Swiss bar admission with a first‑class qualification; additional studies in commercial or capital market law are a plus.
• 5–15 years of relevant experience in a law firm, audit firm, bank or asset‑management environment.
• Fluent, professional English and German communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, client‑orientation and teamwork abilities.
