Systems Engineer – Edge Cloud (80‑100%)

About the role

We are seeking a curious and motivated Systems Engineer to join our Edge Cloud team. You will help build and maintain custom virtual test platforms and cloud provisioning workflows that power our SASE edge deployments, working in a small, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop quick MVP cycles, collaborate with users, and iterate based on feedback.
• Leverage AI‑pair programming tools for efficiency while maintaining deep code understanding.
• Stay close to customer needs and ensure platform operations support internal engineering teams.
• Identify problems proactively, propose solutions, and deliver them.
• Spend 20% of time on real‑time customer issue resolution after completing internal networking and security training.
• Build, operate, and optimise in‑house virtual test infrastructure for release validation.
• Create and maintain IaC templates for Azure and GCP network deployments.

Required profile

• Early‑career engineer with a solid academic background in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
• Hacker attitude – delivering functional solutions quickly.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and support fellow engineers.

Required skills

• Python (or Go) programming.
• Linux command‑line proficiency.
• Version control with Git.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on Azure and GCP.
