Hardware Design Engineer

About the role

SII Group is seeking a motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join its Swiss consulting team. You will work on the development and update of printed‑circuit‑board (PCB) layouts for vehicle controllers and related modules, ensuring tight integration with mechanical design and software firmware.

Key responsibilities

• Update PCB layout of the Vehicle Controller, integrating BVA, audio, Power Delivery and HUB components.
• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP and ensure coherence with mechanical casing.
• Redesign the Data Transfer Unit (DTU‑UHF) PCB and integrate GPS antenna and Bluetooth modules.
• Support de‑risking test phases and perform hardware validation with evaluation kits.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and firmware teams to guarantee seamless HW‑FW integration.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer (ECAD) for PCB design.
• Experience with communication interfaces such as SPI, CAN, USB and RS232.
• Strong knowledge of USB‑C Dual Role Port (DRP) and Power Delivery.
• Understanding of EMC/EMI design principles and RF/antenna concepts.
