Junior Legal Counsel – Trading

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to support our international energy, trading and commodities business. You will work closely with commercial, operations and finance teams, providing day‑to‑day legal advice on trading, logistics and business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements related to trading, logistics and operations.
• Provide legal support to commercial, operations and finance teams on contractual and regulatory matters.
• Assist with compliance, KYC and onboarding procedures to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
• Support the management of contractual disputes, insurance claims and operational issues arising from trading activities.
• Conduct legal research and regulatory monitoring to support risk management and business decision‑making.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Law, preferably with a focus on International Trade Law, Maritime Law, Commercial Law or related fields.
• Less than 2 years of relevant professional experience in a commodity trading company, shipping organization or a law firm advising commodity clients.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and a pragmatic, business‑oriented approach.
• Highly organized, proactive and able to perform in a fast‑moving environment.
