Manager - International Tax Advisory for Multinational Groups & SMEs

About the role

EY's Europe West International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team in Zurich advises leading Swiss and multinational clients on complex tax matters. As part of a growing practice, you will lead and support engagements in international tax planning, operating model transformations, Pillar Two, R&D incentives and cross-border transactions. As Manager, you will manage client relationships, lead engagements, coach junior professionals and help grow the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Swiss and international tax advisory and transaction projects for multinational groups, privately owned businesses and SMEs
• Advise clients on international tax planning, restructurings, acquisitions, divestitures, financing structures, operating model transformations and R&D projects
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on complex cross-border tax matters
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the tax practice
• Coach and develop junior team members
• Work closely with EY teams across jurisdictions to deliver seamless cross-border services

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics or a related field, complemented by an advanced tax qualification such as the Swiss Certified Tax Expert designation or a MAS in Taxation
• Several years of experience in Swiss and international taxation
• Fluency in German and English
• Collaborative mindset, strong client focus, drive and commitment, and the ability to grasp complex topics quickly
• Interest in digitalization, AI, automation and emerging technologies; exposure to tax technology, AI tools or agent-based solutions is a plus
